    Default Floor Running out

Could do with some advice in relation to my en suite floor which is running out of level and needs levelling before tiling. It's not running out by much (around 20mm over it's width) but I am putting in a Impey wet room former which needs to be spot on o the rest of the floor needs to be level to match.

I am toying with the idea of ripping the chipboard up and starting again but this is a lot of work. Other options I have thought about are self levelling screed or before putting down the tile backer boards sitting them on adhesive to bed them in level before fixing?

Am I totally barking up the wrong tree or what??

Any advuce as always gratefully received.

    Thanks Rich.

    Cool Re: Floor Running out

    Was worried youmight say that

If I was to use self leveller on top of the backer boards what thickness will it level out aving looked at the floor again it is nt as bad as I thought around 10mm over the width of the room. It's only a small room so it is not running out far but enough to make a difference to the overall finish I reckon.

What sort of screed should I use? It's for UFH so Iam guessing something flexible.

    Thanks Rich.

    Wink Re: Floor Running out

Well Boys though I hate to admit it you were right. Rip it up and start again as the 80's song goes!

Have took your advice and the floor has come up and I now, after a lot of hard graft have some nice new LEVEL! floor joists to work off.

Will be fitting the Impey tray over the next couple of days so may need some more help

Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks again for all the help. Rich
