    Default Should i walk?

    Went to look at a job i was phoned about turns out it's vinyl tiles. Amtico, anything i should know i've never fiited these before and my instinct is telling me to walk away from it. Thx. Paul.

    Expensive stuff paul...not your everyday vinyl.....leave it to the guys who do it for a living...

    If your've never fitted them before I would decline the job, An expensive tile and they usualy have approved fitters

    Just done i bit of research on it,min. 6mm ply every 50mm guy has 3mm ply and nailed nowhere near every 50mm. I'm not taking the job.

    6mm ply if the original floor is in good nick if not 9mm or above otherwise you will see the boards through the ply

    yes amtico is expensive and yes approved fitters

    but its not hard but you need the correct equipment etc etc

    would question where the customer got the Amtico from in the first place My M8 is a traind Amtico fitter and Amtico dosnt normaly let anyone fit the stuf they have to be traind and regesterd, also it shouldnt be sold to D.I.Y people

    Right choice to leave alone M8

    I had similer recently,customer gave me there installation instructions an inch thick load of A4 read through it and decided to leave it with him, like as been said above it's expensive stuff and you can't afford to get it wrong.

    the beloved e bay sell amtico and Karndean

    these sellers are causing a lot of problems in the market place cause the prices they charge

    the suppliers are thinking of cutting off their accounts due to underselling

    Amtico is £70psm and £100 psm fitted. They usually use their own fitters. My big concern is that in case of leaks the Amtico tiles are prone to lifting in cases of flooding and water spilling.

    All top end stuff. But problems (for you) if it goes wrong when laying or aftercare...

    wise decision to leave well alone,ply joints need to be slc skimmed etc etc
