| 25 sqmtrs ,Stone flags | | Hi lads, I have a celler area of about 25 sqr mtrs, of yorkshire stone flags, of which as been painted over with red floor paint about 8 years ago,
The paint is starting to peel off, its not affected the flags in anyway, should come of no problem, what i want to know is the best way of sealing these stone flags and bringing a colour out of them .
or failing that how much would i get for selling 25 sq mtrs of stone flags, some are 0.5sq mtrs size wise, because i would then like to put that money towards a natural stone maybe marble or slate, etc,,?? which would do you think would be the most cost effective. any price in your head for 25 sq mtr of the above,
thanks jack. | | |

| Re: 25 sqmtrs ,Stone flags | | You can also get a Fila product from Topps that is a sealer and has a colour enhancer in it too. When used it enriches the natural colour giving a deeper tone.
Hope that helps. | | |

| Re: 25 sqmtrs ,Stone flags | | Thanks , a builder told me, all the old stone is getting shiped over to the US ,as there mad for it , ?
Another builder told me ,he concreted someones celler for nowt, just as long as he could keep the stone flags, the guy with the concrete floor was happy, cos that ment he could put his line/no down ,(do they still make that stuff and hows it spelt.) plus the builder was delighted.
Anyway as for the red paint its just lifting of, no trace of it on the flags , a heat gun should remove the rest .just looks a bit dark or damp in places. | | |
