You can be proud of that for you first Job Scott. Very brave grout colour choice with those black tiles, I would recomed to start with on your first few jobs to try and pick a matching grout colour and this will give a better finish, but you can be proud a that mate.

I remember on my first few jobs I did make mistakes but the most important thing is that you learn from them.

    Good work

the black tiles was in my bathroom so i had a practise on something of my own first, so hence the messy tool placement haha.

    Looks nice.

The only tip that I can offer is when using a patterned border try mitreing the tile to an internal corner then take another tile, mark where the pattern continues from the 1st tile, add the tile thickness plus adhesive thickness and make your cut mark, snap the border tile and then mitre that edge too.

It takes a little practice but means that the border pattern flows continuously all the way around the room.

This process works for internal corners, it takes a lot more thought for mitreing external corners - I can post an explanation if you feel that you can't figure it out.

    SO TRUE,

Do not rush your work trying to get faster, the only thing that ever matters is quality of work. Speed will come in time as you work more efficiently. If you really want to make a career out of tiling then you will have to accept at the start you wont make as much as your m2 p/d will be low but you will get there if yoou take pride in yur work
