    Default Boarding out before tiling

Can anyone help? When boarding my kitchen/dining room before tiling, is it ok to use an 8mm thick white faced mdf board to do this? The reason being i can get my hands on some free and it would save buying 8 sheets of plyboard.

In a word, no! Is your current surface chipboard?

BS States no less than 15mm, which in the UK means 18mm. Has to be at least WBP ply too.
