Started a job today tiling behind an aga, the women has travertine tiles, and wants them fixed brick bond, they are two different colours one light and one dark...But she dosent want them laid, one dark one light or she dosent want two light tiles or two dark tiles together.....WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT

Mark it out, pencil in the whole wall like a grid....then ask her to mark each one L or D...then there can be no confusion....

This is simple mate, just put them all on back to front with the face of the tile against the wall, then she wont be able to tell if there are pairs of if they alternate

She is alright, i have already tiled two bathrooms, utility room 26 sqm, and hallway, 28sqm and never had a problem...I think she is having a blonde moment I will take my left handed paint brush, and tartan paint just in case she wants it painted....

pmsl...from experience ,i once had a customer who never told me they wanted a pattern and that there were two different colours of tiles..guess what?....yes,i tiled a full wall with the one colour and had to rip it all off

So she has ordered a new lot all the same colour this time but they wont come until Friday....Has this inconvenienced you she said yes i said you will have to pay me for loss of work today, she agreed to this, so watch this space and see if the saga continues on friday.

So she has ordered a new lot all the same colour this time but they wont come until Friday....Has this inconvenienced you she said yes i said you will have to pay me for loss of work today, she agreed to this, so watch this space and see if the saga continues on friday.

Reminds me of the customer i had once tiled two large marble bathrooms lovely she said but i want clear grout when i told her it was not possible to buy it from anywhere she said maybe i will have it the same color as the tile background great i thought went ahead grouted it droped an invoice in only to be told no i have changed my mind can you take the grout out and replace it with clear please 76 sq mtrs 300 x 300 no i cant i told her well i will find someone else to do it and you are not getting paid which i didn't :Pete
