Homelux tanking mat
Hi all,
I regularly us the WP1 Bal or the Weber tanking kits and I am happy to make the job a little longer to apply the kit and let dry overnight (with an added cost). I am now about to be presented with the Homelux matting system that a customer has already purchased. Having not used it before I am not totally happy about the application, is the adhesive type critical or would I use the normal Bal / Weber shower area adhesive ? I have read on the forum about using rapid dry adhesive....and the added edges that will be created after application with the adhesive behind the matt ? plus not having unlitmate faith it wont fail and come away. To be honest I have steared away from it so far.
With the WP1 and Weber, having primed and painted / rollered the solution on I dont have these concerns.
Any one used it ? Any one had problems ? any do's or dont's ?
Thanks
Silver

Re: Homelux tanking mat
Hi silver..
The membranes are a much better tanking system IMO...and are quicker to apply and you can tile onto them straight away...
Use a rapid setting cement based adhesive to apply to the walls and a suitable cement based one for tiling with....
You can get tapes etc for joints and corners....
The homelux one has all the instructions printed on the face of the mat..
