    I do all these myself.

I am perhaps not as specialist in tiling as some of you but I can plumb and plaster as well. Actually I can do pretty much any small repair in a bathroom or kitchen without a fuss.

For most of the bathrooms I do, it works really well. It means that I don't have to rely on anyone else to turn up on time, and if I have to undo a bit of work because the client changes their mind I can go ahead and don't have to worry about getting a plumber to move a sink 6 inches to the left.

Today I even repaired a rotten floor!

Mind you, having seen some of the work here I would be hard pressed to match it I'm sure.

I`m a plumber by trade and did a tiling course approx 2 years ago (you get the very basics)i`ve learnt more from doing the job and from people in the trade and tiling forums than any course will ever teach me,i do more tiling work bathrooms/kitchens etc etc etc than anything and also i do all my own rendering/timber/boarding out work,if you are a competent person in different trades it helps you in the way that you dont have to get anyone else in or wait about for anyone else but if your not a competent person get some one in,minor cases/patch ups you`ll be fine but there is alot of regs out there ie water/building etc etc etc and they seem to keep bringing more out every day,i`ve been called out to what should be small plumbing jobs and they usually turn out to be the worst,i`ve not learnt a trade yet thats easy and can be mastered in a week or two`s course i`m still learing tiling 2 years later, they all have there own prob`s but theres always someone on hand to help especially on here,i dont do my own electrics/gas/plastering i have so many friends in those trades and its always good pass on a bit of trade to them
