Default Vinyl tiles to be laid on what please? (Timber Floor)

Slightly off topic but a client is looking to have some vinyl tiles laid in a bathroom on a timber floor (T&G floorboards)

Bearing in mind this room suffers from typical bathroom damp what would you guys recommend to put down (if anything) before the tiles go down?

I've only ever done vinyl tiles onto screeded floors.

    Top Tiler

Thanks, I think they may be self adhesive tiles. I haven't seen them yet, I'll get some photos as I know you're all dying to see them .

Assuming I'm right, I take it that I prep in this order:

    1) Ply the floor
    2) Apply latex or use feather edge at the edges
    3) Rub down edges with a stone (can you give me an example of a stone please)
    4) Lay tiles using self adhesive backing.

I should have made it clear that I've laid the self adhesive tiles before, not the ones where you have to have to apply the glue separately.

Daft question but what is the best method for securing thin ply to the floor? All the stuff I've taken up has been tacked down but the tacks had started coming through the floor covering.

you need a carbrundom stone most ply you use tacks or you could use small screws dont go through the floor boards
