    Default glass tile backsplash

I am having a problem with glass tiles they are 1m long by approx 6inch wide and they are running along the back of the kitchen work top. They have a self adhiesive back on them, the problem I have is that i need to cut a notch out of the tile to fit flush to a plug socket, But when i use my wet cutter the back of the tile gets cut further than the top just like it would with a ceramic tile but obviously with the glass you can see the cut as the colouring for the glass is given by a coating on the back which is being cut away.
Also I Have to cut a 10mm sliver off the bottom of a 900 x 900 glass tile to fit at the back of the oven and i dont have a way of scoring it as my tile cutter only does up to 600mm. is there a easy cost effective way to solve this.

    any tips appreciated thanks

Use an oil filled glass cutter and a straight edge to cut normal float glass.
    Toughened glass can't be cut!
Finnish the edges with a diamond pad. and water.
With 6mm glass, the minimum piece that can be cut off is about 15mm wide. 10mm along a 900mm pieces of 6mm is very tricky but can be done. Thats why I cut the glass, then put the colour on the back.
This is a very dangerous material in large pieces. Wear goggles, wrist protection, gloves and a full body condom.
