Discuss Can you suggest a resin for filling ? in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; I would like to make a custom tile by milling out a pattern then filling it back in .....Ideally with some kind of blue resin ...any ideas ???...

    Question Can you suggest a resin for filling ?

    I would like to make a custom tile by milling out a pattern then filling it back in .....Ideally with some kind of blue resin ...any ideas ???

    I can help you there if you want. I use resins all the time to repair Natural Stone. I have never seen blue resin but you could use a white resin and colour it to suit. Let me know what size tile mould you want to make and i will point in you in the right direction

    Is it for floor or wall?
    How deep is the cut?

    I did see a company that made images in porcelain by grit blasting the design and filling the areas with resin colour but I've not seen them advertise for some years.


    The most robust method would be to screen print the design onto the tile and fire it.
