Default do any of you have a website ?

was thinking of seting up a website for advertising .. just wondered if any guys have and do they get much work from it ?

i dont have one yet but they are worth having.It does cost a few quid to set up at first though.

I have one, get most of my work from it

Seriously,

It could be a great way to show off your work.

When you give a quote, or even just a business card, to a customer have your web address on there. Make sure you have some really nice pictures of your past jobs. I think it would give you a very competitive advantage over another cheaper tiler who has nothing or just a simple name and address website that Yell.com rip you off for

BTW there is no reason why a simple, but good enough, '.co.uk' web site should cost no more than £20 to set up and £15 a year to maintain (If you are able to do a bit yourself - nothing too technical)

I am a newbie, just finishing my first job, but I got my cards and run my website through Vistaprint. Its quite limited but see what you think.

I tiled over 600 bathrooms and only have pics of about 6
Did a few big pools too - not a single picture
Did plenty of car showrooms 1 picture
Tiled supermarket floors no pictures
Tiled shop inside Madame Tussauds - no pictures
Tiled some rich and famous peoples houses - No pictures
Tiled Burger Kings/Macdonnals - No pictures
Tiled down the London Underground - No Pictures
Shops in Leicester Square, The strand, Regent Street, Marble Arch - No Pictures
30 x shops, all over 100 sq M, in main city centers from Edinburgh to Plymouth- No again
One big floor of over 400 Sqm - No pictures
some tricky stair cases - No pictures

I have got 3 cameras now as well as my phone camera - havent done any tiling for a while
