    Default UFH Strange?

Just been asked to quote for a floor which will have "wet" UFH. Its actually pipes inserted into boards that have been laid on the screed. So the pipework is actually visable. I vaguely remember doing one of these many years ago but cant remember how i got over the pipes.
I am thinking i must have just used SPF adhesive, 1st of all using the back of the trowel to fill any voids and then spread over with the notched side as usual.
    My memory is getting worse

Have the pipes been laid already? If not you can use Schluter Bekotec. Is a good system for hold pipes. Either that or use a flexible floor leveller.

well if they are down securely then i would level the floor with a flexy leveller. BAL Acrybase would be a suggestion of the top of my head. Which is a two parter. Need to prime, make sure you don't turn the heating on for 48 hours and then only a degree per day... you'd probably do well to have a quick chat with BAL direct on their helpline but you'll get the 25 year guarantee so thats another selling point.

If that doesn't work out Ardex have a nice range too.

Mapei fibre plan......BAL and ardex levellers are not suitable for tiling onto .. if used on timber and ufh...Thats presuming these boards are timber...

I did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago............they supplied Bal fast flex.

The pipes where small bore (10mm) and set into wot looked like hardibacker

It did look a better UFH set up

I would have used SPF.......but they were having kittens because of the 3 bag/bottles of fast flex as supplied by Topps

I was impressed with the ufh set up.........made to measure boards as well by the looks of them
