Tiling 330s porcelain onto 18mm ply.
what would be your prefered addy of choice and how long shall i leave before grouting.

rapid set flexible adhesive would be my choice. normally grout after 2-3 hours. if the room is not used much you could use single part flex but will have to be left overnight to go off

thanks guys, didnt know if i needed a add mix because of using porcelain. also if the floor is in a state with old adhesive and the likes how would you get this up or would you just re board.

MAPEI KERRAFLEX FOR ME.
I would chissel the old adhesive away ,well most of it then sheet.

The best way is to remove the old adhesive first, so your plywood sits well ......and remember your grout also has to be flexi or polymer modified to stick to the porcelain.....Gaz

is it possible to get rid of dry adhesive and prime ready for fixing, dont really want to raise level of floor

if the substrate is plywood already then it might be easier to replace it to save the grief of lifting old adhesive(just a thought)if you wish to use already fixed ply then it should be exactly as Gaz says above m8.
