All part of the learning curve I am afraid mate. You can get an undercut saw relatively cheap from trade tiler to do the fein job for you if you want.

If not try using a profile gauge to make your pattern.

Yes... I.agree here...either undercut or scribe to fit........

these might be of use to you....

    Undercut Saw

Really useful undercut saw for removing the bottom of architraves, door frames etc to allow tiles to slide underneath. Also works well on Kitchen cabinet cornice

Fitted with a stout wooden handle

300 mm double sided blade. Overall length 500mm

    A must for all tilers!

    Profile gauge

Useful for transferring complicated shapes over to a tile for cutting.

For example Architraves and kitchen cornice

    length 250 mm (10")

    both available here.. Tradetiler.com Home

Try a Bosch pmf180,cheaper than a fein and works quite well.

Or lay a tile on the floor (PEICE OF CARD BOARD UNDERNEATH)and use a normal saw using the tile as the height guide(width of saw blade normally allows for the adhesive ect)
