    Default Are layered tiles OK?

To save cost, my tiler has suggested layering new tiles on top of the existing ones, rather than removing the original layer first. Is this likely to cause problems later? The tiling will be done in my bathroom.
    Many thanks.

Hi Karin, fixing tiles on top of tiles depends on differing factors.
    a. Are the tiles you are going on top of fixed well enough.
    b. Will the weight of two sets of tiles exceed weight limits.
More detail of what are the size of the new tiles, & what is the background beneath the old ones would help us help you.....Gaz
    PS. Welcome to the forums
