Short answer i know but thats all you need really......make sure it is dry and clean before you seal it....

A while since I've done slate or 'normal' tiling but nothing but clean water and a good sponge. A real sponge (karl dahm, bal etc) not one of those washboy sponges, ensure rung out really often and you'll have no problems.

Personally I use FILA grout film remover (extra strong) for stoneware, but only when washing off the excess grout.
Prior to grouting I just use clean water and lots of it!

I use Fila grout remover from topps, added to water, one to one.............sorted
