I can see that using a mobile only could be a lot easier as it is always with you and it stops cold call in the home, however - if this is the case do you think it puts people off?
just asking out of interest really because if it was me looking for a buider or something i would be suspicious of a mobile only company..

Re: contact numbers....
I used mobile on my van but on my advertising i used both home number and moby .
I did cross my mind when just putting my mobile on my van if people thought i might be a pikey just trying it on but alot of builders just have mobile numbers so i suppose it boils down to preference .

Re: contact numbers....
I have mobile only as I want to be able to "turn work off" when I want, which I couldnt do if quoting home number too. Doesnt seem to have stopped people calling me.

Re: contact numbers....
Really it is preference for you.
If you want calls at home do it.
I include both myself.
I also have call display.
Useful for screening purposes.

Re: contact numbers....
I would not employ someone who only advertises a mobile number. The most professional of tradesmen produce cards and invoices with all details, home phone and address, this gives the customer the confidence that the person will always be contactable....Gaz

Re: contact numbers....
I use both on van and webby. Customers like to see a landline number imo but I guess some people aren't too fussed

Re: contact numbers....
if i was a potential customer i would want to see a land line number on the side of a van and a mobile plus if your on bt you could always use a second line for business and your home number wouldnt be affected i have home number and a broadband phone with seperate number so if i was in the tiling or any other trade i would use the broadband line and a mobile

Re: contact numbers....
I advertise my Mobile and Business number. I bought an 0845 number for £9 and it can be attached to any number so if I move house I dont have to worry about losing the original number this number I just change the destination number online. I have a store and office built in my back garden so I put a line in there so no calls at night in house lol mind you never in house to take calls anyway.

Re: contact numbers....
Got both numbers on van, cards and adverts.
Home number is TPS so I don't get nuisance calls, and genuine punters only call at resonable times of the day (usually when I'm out working - LOL).
