I have a few fancy tools, i also have some small wooden dowels which are pre shaped and soaked in a soapy liquid in small jar. I also use my finger ....soapy of course.

used the soapy finger for years (once was a window fitter)
now use the fugi, since you dont use any water with it you
can sort any mistakes straight away
I have a set of eight specialized tools for siliconing........want to know more ?

Silicone tool for me
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes"
I've got the tools but I'm in the soapy finger club. In fact I'm going to have a go with a profiler again tomorrow and see if I can be converted.

Just siliconed a massive kitchen up today.
Finger and saliva is the future. Makes that end of day pint so much more worth it !!!

Tool and soapy water for me,
ice cream stick followed by finger ,with plenty of dw liquid
Tool and soapy water.
The profesional mastic men use various tools. If its good enough for them.........
I've always done it by finger but after reading a post on here bought a fugi kit. Never got to use it and left it with a mate after a kitchen floor job we did for him to try when he was sealing it the next day. Lol he won't return it so they can't be that bad! Ordered another one yesterday to give it a try.

Tile Drills
I use both.
I do the initial profiling with a tool and when the masking tape is removed a final smooth over with a soapy finger. Although the tool I use is just like a plastic finger![]()
