I use my battery Makita drill driver on slow speed with a small whisk. Does the job fine.

Re: mixers
I've only ever mixed by hand with a clean bucket trowel.
Why the need for a power mixer unless you are mixing loads and can work as fast as superman?!

Re: mixers
I have a silverline mixer but I only use it if I am mixing standard setting adhesive as I wouldn't get through it quick enough with rapidset if I mixed large batches.
