A bit of damp
Hi
I am going to be tiling my brother’s kitchen wall where the old tiles have already been taken off and the plaster is mostly undamaged. It has been untiled for few years now and I have noticed that there is a small patch of damp behind the taps at work top level where water has being splashing. It only shows about 3cm above this level but I can’t see how far down behind the sink it has gone because of the base unit. If I cut out the damp bit that I can see and fill it, should I be worried about any damp below, especially as he is only planning on living there for another couple of years? As far as I know I will be using ceramic tiles.
Any advice would be appreciated.
