Default Floor tomorrow! HELP!

Hey People, first post here so go easy on the newbie! I Have been tiling for about 4 months now since i finished my course at Diamond Training Centre and havent had a bit of trouble since i started. The thing is...

I have a kithchen floor to do tomorrow and I am tiling on to a concete floor, however, it has had the previous tiles lifted and a lot of the adhesive from before is still there, the guy that done it previously has used a standard wall trowel and had left lots of trowel grooves. There is also a few parts where the adhesive has came right off with the tiles and has left none on the concrete at all! I took a few pics for you to have a look! The question is should use self leveling compound or work it with adhesive? A tiler I know has already told me to just use the adhesive but im not sure. Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers

Hi Chris welcome to the forums. Your Links are saying that the image has been deleted!!

Not being able to see what you are seeing, my instinct would be to remove as much of the old addy as possible and then go over with SLC.

cool guys, hopefully these work this time! So is it just as simple mixing it up to a single cream consistancy and pouring it out then spreading with a trowel? will i have to put a baton along the kickboards or can i just let the SLC set on them? Oh, and cheers for the speedy reply

Just check that everything is solid and I would self level that could be a pain to get up
