Have you kept contact with the guys running the course you went on? I know some of the course providers are happy to help out with any problems/query's you might have afterwards.

I don’t think you can cover everything in a 2 week course or even a 6 week course, every job is different and you will always encounter problems. If you work solitary then its just a case of trial and error you can learn allot from the forum though.

i am guessing that it would be some good feed back for them. i know they wont be able to cover all that is needed or you would be there for years!

I tried using the "helpline" from my course providers and just got a voicemail with no returned call, so I know that the so-called "on-going support" is not as it may seem.

I, initially, experienced a lot of issues which I figured out by taking my time and, also, using this forum .

What sort of "difficulties" are you experiencing?
I, also, got to know a couple of the long serving tilers that are local to me (a friendly bunch, actually) and they have always been prepared to offer advice at the end of a phone - just a thought??

Any chance of saying who that was with? I'd like to make sure i don't train with them.

I can assure you you cannot cover any where near the number of things on a 2 or 4week course that you will need to know in reality, as i found out, but the guys on here really can and do help you out with any problem that you could come across. I'm a better tiler now, thanks to the forum.

I agree, but the fact that the course provider doesn't answer/return calls is a little worrying IMO.
