    Default Putting up plasterboard

Hi everyone. Done a few jobs now but got one coming up on friday where i need to put plasterboard up for the first time. Its a kitchen splashback and one wasll has a lower section which comes out just over 1 cm, was going tio stck plasterboard over top half to level out. The walls are solid.
Can i just dot and dab it on, if so how, normal tile addy? Or should i screw it into the wall?

Don't know what you are sticking it on to but rapid set should be fine. The plasterers on here may say otherwise though!

I've used both dry wall adhesive and tile adhesive in the past - if its only a smallish area rapidset should be fine, but for full size boards 6'x3' or 8'x4' i'd use plasterboard adhesive and dot and dab. Screwing a piece over the top will probably bend to the uneven shape thats already there.

I've always used dry wall adhesive for dot and dabbing plasterboard, though rapidset may be fine.
