Christ how many were you carrying at a time? They weigh about 27KG a box don't they?

    OUCH!!! That's gotta hurt

At only 20 you really have to take care of yourself in this game or you won't last long. Stretch before work during work and after work. A hot shower as so as you get home followed by more stretching will keep your back loose and supple.

Best of luck with getting back in the game. And take care.

There was a reason why bags of cement and plaster were reduced from 50kg to 25kg

well thats just the case when i told him about my back he just threw a strop and said he needed someone who can lift things,
i was advised by the hospital not to lift 4 3-4 weeks yet he still had none of it,
he only gave me a weeks wage then told me to leave,

now i just need to get back in the game but not too confident on going out on my own as ive only been in the tiling industry for 1 year,

    thanks for all your posts!!!!!

As much as i hate todays 'sue culture', have you considered getting any legal advice? If it's an industrial injury, which this certainly sounds like to me, your employer is liable... And not just for loss of earnings.

Use some magnesium salts like epsom for hot baths which helps, but use lots of the epsom in the tub.
Take magnesium supplements (good ones) as they help promote bone health.
Also collagen supplements help a lot.
This stuff got my knees working better.
    Good luck

I'm with beanz on this one, I'd check out a no fee lawyer. It's not now it's when you get older and plagues the life out of you
