| liability insurance | | Hello all my tiling buddies,
My helper is 16, leaving school now so he's booked onto a course which lasts two years(at a technical college),2-3 days a week! probably NVQ.
Anyway for him to officially join me i'm to have public liability insurance(no prob there) and Employers insurance !!! (what i said!!!! ) this would cost me a lot i'm told.
Make sense to anyone? I'm a sole trader, not an employer so why the hell should i do get this?? |

I'v had no quotes in yet, what would be a reasonable quote for the employers insurance?? not that i have employees!! |

| Re: liability insurance | | I've my cousins lad with me 'till he starts serving his time at the plumbing .
The site im on need PL insurance but when i mentioned bringing some help the foreman wasnt bothered. To keep myself right i know i need employers as well.
Is there no way you can get round it by him registering as self employed....maybe thats even more of a can of worms.
Having a gofor really helps, ive almost doubled my meterage and my costs definitely havent went up too much so its worth it lads.£££££££ |
