only really use uniform when giving quotes, poppng to the DIY stores ETC for advertising, pretty much allways wear a pear of shorts with a load of pockets and various t shirts that i dont mind getitng messy, no point getting uniform mucky if nobody is going to see it other than the customer thats already chosen you, tho i do keep the random messy clothes in a kind of order, black/navy bluew shorts, with black, navy, white shirt, used to use snickers trousers with the knee pad inserts but cant stand working when hot, so shiorts and a foam pad to kneel down on is much more my way these days

awright brian -stuass a bit like a polite vistaprint once you order - i am always getting sent offers and catalogues - stuff is good and reasonable - if you are looking for embroidery with a logo i know a place in hillington that charges 7 quid to make your jig and keep it and they can do all your embroidery - all my polo shirts come from there and got some good quality fleeces and got them done there 5.

I wear snickers . You need to look after those knees. So i get the trousers with the knee pad inserts. I also wear the t-shirts 5 for £20 and they are really good quality.

Another vote for strauss direct, i've not had any embroidered stuff from them and they wont be the cheapest but the workpants with cordura covered knee areas last well, have plenty of pockets, look professional and with the upgraded knee pads are comfy.

Ive got the trousers with knee pad inserts from Toolstation, cant remember what make they are, £10 and £4 for the inserts, there dead comfy and at £10 im not overly bothered if i accidentally rip them or something. Polo's from primark £2.50. Im a bit tight though

    Gents

If your looking for workwear / pants which are as good as Snickers in quality but are much cheaper then the brand for you is Helly Hansen. The gear is superb and they do work/service pants and knee pad pants.

Also feedback on my site would be much appreciated as ive just made it.

    many thanks

bosch workpants for me kevlar lined, alto' nobody's tried shooting/stabbing me in the leg yet! great kee pads that have two settings, Ifind some pads end up round my shins. Comfy and sturdy in crotch, plenty of pockets and pouches to lose things in!, they wash well as well. Quite pricey at about £40, but I wouldn't go back to snickers/grafters

My t-shirts are Vistaprint, trousers are grey/navy Panoply Mach 2 Corp, shoes are Dickies Epsom & hoodies are from Fonfella. Package deals can cost an arm & a leg when your buying for up to 6 folk. I get a good deal shopping around

I raid Primark when I need new t-shirts (long sleeved ones). I got a couple of t-shirts and a fleece jacket embroidered when i started out for quotes etc. although Ive only managed to keep one ady free so no longer wear them for work and the zip on the jacket has bust!
