    Default nearly a months work let down by builder

    as most know i returned from holiday geared up for i was expecting nearly a months work from 2 regular builders i work for supposidly 2 houses in liverpool and 5 new flats in chorley ive been on the blower to both of them since monday no answer im abit peed i should be working but instead im sat at home doing naff all i did a few cards drop of rung around a few places got nothin so far.

    ive been fairly busy since easter no ive just come to a massive slow down im going to keep on ringin them till i get an answer.

    Its just because u've been away m8 and weren't contactable. I'm sure it will pick up again quickly as soon as people know ure back.

    What were you doing taking a holiday anyway?!

    maybe thats the case because i was on holiday i had to turn down 2 domestic jobs while i was on holiday aswell i wish i never bothered going away now

    It happens to us m8. I have hit a BIG stop and I go on hoils on sunday. Had no quotes for two weeks so only 1 job when I return. I hope.....

    Chin up Lee m8,something will turn up,just get out there and try and make some new contacts and phone all joiners and plumbers you know and see if that works bud.

    thanks brian i will try a few more contacts see what i can get i did a ring around not long ago very quite with the other trades but no harm in trying again.

    thanks mark for the offer if anything crops up lets know mate its much appreciated.

    different topic tried ringing the building firm which supposidly had 2 houses for me i get through to the office the person is never in i have let countless messages, thing is ive done lots of work for them in the past i dont understand why they would not reply at all.

    i suppose i could go round to the office i do know he tends to move around during the day but as a last resort i think i will i just find this bizzare behaviour from them.

    Only worry if they owe you money and the phone wont ring, but gives you a continuous tone...

    Builders run hot and cold all the time one minute you can't keep up the next minute a heap of contracts have fallen through and your left scratching. This is why I tend to select my builders very carefully and this gives me more free time to source other avenues for work. Just keep doing the rounds and when your busy again.................................... you know what will happen the bloody builder will have some work that needed a start yesterday...............always the way.

    you absolutley spot on there mick anyway i took gaz 's advice and i went round there and he was in, i think he forgot about this job so hes going to ring me tommorow with more info on it. thanks for your advice lads
