Hi anyone got any experience of getting a Makita repaired. My 24V Charger has just decided to stop working done all the normal checks but not working. Anyone knpw the best way to get repairs done quickly?

How long have you had it mate, doesnt makita gear come with a fairly decent guarantee?

Hi Kev
If it is under 12 months old take it into a Makita repair agent (Price Tools, Summer lane, Birmingham) They will repair it FOC under warrantee. Even if you got it else where
BTW I have those Stone sanding kits on the web site now mate

Its about 2 years old but i checked on the price of a new charger and nearly died it was about £140

Did you see the post in the for sale section with the makita tools maybe worth a look mate. £140 is a bit steep for a charger.

Your telling me!!! I paid about £400 for the drill and it has been absolutely brilliant until now when the charger just stopped working on Friday. I need it for a week monday as well

I dont mind shelling out for quality kit, but i'd expect it to a.) last for a long time and b.) have a decent gaurantee, hell wickes drills might not be top of the range, but they'll swap them within 3 years for new if they break.

the charger as the drill isnt the best
