Discuss want to start but how in the Tiling Forum at TilersForums; hi every 1 i really want to become a tiler but really cant aford the courses available is there any other way i am not entitled to any grants cuz ...

    Default want to start but how

    hi every 1 i really want to become a tiler but really cant aford the courses available is there any other way i am not entitled to any grants cuz i am in full time work, please help

    If you know any tilers local to you, you could give them a ring to see if they will give you any "work experience"...
    SPEED MEANS NOTHING WITHOUT QUALITY....

    Another couple of ways is to visit your local tile shops. they will have regulars coming in or could give you contact numbers. Also do you have any friends/relatives working on the tools for the local council. You will probaly have to shadow them (i.e. work for free) but it all helps the experience.

    Just thought - get yourself a good reference book such as "Ceramic And Stone Tiling" by John Ripley. (one of the few tiling authors who has actually done the job) costs about £16
    I called it love - the judge called it stalking !!!

    You could if your that keen offer your services as a labourer for a tiler and keep your daily rate down, Might be an option for you and work from there perhaps weekends

    i work at honda in swindon wiltshire manufacturing cars, but me and my wife have debts that make all our money accounted for, i am going to look for a third income to try and subsidise my needs to become a tiler.

    harry thats probably the best way to learn tiling working with a pro tiler but nowadays very hard to do try the phone book ask for free work experience
