Default Quarry tiles

Got french doors put in house and they lead out onto decking from brickwork going been asked to put insert of quarry tiles between brickwork and doors. You will only see about 4cm of tile at most mostly to prevent leaks into house, will i need to seal tiles?

Most modern quarries (Especially those outside) do not require sealing. They only benefit from sealing if they are in a particularly dirty enviroment.

the silica in the clay creates a salt glaze in the firing process hence no need to seal
