    Default Fixing a damaged bath

Had a bit of an accident today. Bathboard slipped off bath sending a tile crashing down. It's a white plastic which now has a chip/dint in it. New suite so understandably the customer wants it repairing.

I know there are repair kits for this but was wondering if anyone here knows the best product for the job, cost and where to get it from. Thanks!

As it happens, i arrived at my job this morning for the plumber to tell me that last night while in a hurry he chipped the bath and he had a bath doctor coming out to repair the chip. It will cost £110 + vat.

There is a bloke that does the same thing up here in Scotland for about £90 + vat too.

It may sound expensive, but if it is an expensive bath then it could be money well spent.

I used to do work for a bathroom company, and this guy fixed a chip in a £700 bath an you would never know, even if you knew where it had been chipped.

If you are anywhere near Scotland, I'll get his number for you tomorrow.

Ive had this problem on one of my jobs before , now i always make sure the bath is covered well doubling up with a dust sheet is a good tip. I spent alot of money trying to repair the bath and in the end i replaced it with a new one. It depends on how bad the chip is my opinion though is change the bath no comebacks then. hope it all works out for you mate.

Having done exactly the same thing on my own bath - sheet fixed with masking tape and bath board on being used as a tool stn while I worked on the other side of the room removing tiles. One tile splintered and half the tile travelled the full width of the room only to find its way into the bath leaving a big scratch.

Now I understand Beano's (training course instructor) suggestion to stuff the bath with an old quilt in addition the other prep work. A sheet will keep out the dust but not a missile of a tile.
