New Forum!
I've seen sooooo many websites either charging the tiler, or the tilers' customer when they either make contact, when a bid is placed, or the tiler completes the work.
HERE'S A FREE ONE.
Customers can post their job details in the new forum, tilers can PM them with offers to proceed with work, bid for the work, or just go around to have a chat about the work. No cost to the tiler, no cost to the customer.
I'll be introducing this on the other forums if it works. Though all these website's making money out of tilers or customers need to stop encouraging bidding and what-not IMO.
I hope you use the system (customers and tilers) to it's potential. I'll be advertising the new forum well over the next few weeks.
I hope 'my tilers' get lots of work from this - and their customers are all happy with 'my tilers' work!

If they're generally not happy they need to seek advice from their doctor.
If they're not happy with the work our tiler gets them (and I'm sure they will be - after all they have all the advice they need - and the customer should request an established tiler if that's what they're looking for) then they're welcome to say so afterwards.
And you wouldn't find the tilers' details in the "I Recommend My Tiler" forum afterwards I guess.
Thanks for being sceptical though! You git! lol
Do you not want good things for the tilers? It's free!

Hey fella,
If anybody can moderate such a thing better than these websites currently trying to monitor it, it's us lot!
Have some faith - when have we not managed to get 'a thing' going to do with tile?

I'm hoping we get a few more customers of tilers coming on here. And obviously potential customers then too. Just trying to drum up some business for the lads. And if any of these websites are getting customers leaving their jobs on them - then I think we'll get a few too.
We moderate very well though. And we'll ensure we trace each job the best we can. And I'm sure for that reason we should shy away a couple of the 'rogue traders' before they get chance make a mess.
Fingers crossed. Not everything works - but I think this will.

But what about the customers that will use the forum to moan no matter what? We've all had them.

If they moan, they moan, better out than in hey?
We've had discussions from tilers and their customers many of times and we're quite ok with chatting about it without it getting out of control. It's not a problem if they come here to discuss their situation good or bad. We want to help where we can to clear things up like that and come to a welcoming resolution for both parties where possible.
Very negitive thinking Danny mate. Think of the positive side of it. Tilers or customers of tilers won't need to pay for the contact / bid / offer of job / etc like they do currently on these websites. The customers will get a chance to browse around the user profile of the said tiler and see what he's all about, they can check their picture albums, read their posts / knowledge and so on. If the tiler's are new and just sign up for the job. Then we'll follow the procedure that we have to ensure our tiling courses feedback is all genuine etc - and we do a very good job of that on here with all our custom tools for moderators and admins.
