lol, don't panic. these porcelain tiles from b&q.,.. there was a particular one they had on offer, big square thing. That is porcelain, and does need to be sealed (wierd for porcelain). as long as you do it before grouting you'l be fine. if you have alredy fitted and grouted then get round there in the morning give it a bloody good scrub, wait till it dries, then take off any remaianing dust with a dry cloth and seal it. You can use an ordinery paint roller then wipe off the excess.
PS, i have not personnally worked with these tiles so maybe some of guys have, and can ammend or improve on my advice.
good luck and don't worry too much

yes grumpy, they are the same ones i was talking about earlier, but having read other posts i thought i was now going to need to seal them.
Im showing my inexperience here by saying i dont really know the difference between polished and glazed.
Basically, if they were required to be sealed, would it not say on the box?

PS if they are glazed, then as grumps says, they won't need sealing. you could just phone B&Q in the morning and ask if they are the ones that need sealed. if they are then they will also have some suitable sealer.

Boxes don't always give all the info you need sometimes. if the box says glazed then you don't need to seal them. polished you generally do.

Whatever you don't, don't panic, it won't get you anywhere. Just take your time and think things through, you'll be fine.

thanks a million guys-i'll now sleep easy. I think i just got a bit panicked by it all, but from now on, i'll stick to the general rule of thumb that glazed dont need sealed, but polished do. I also thought i would have to seal them before laying them, but its good to know i can lay them all and then pun the sealer over the tiles using a roller brush before i grout.
Thanks again guys-great help as usual

spenny if your laying then gonna seal them with a roller brush just be aware of how much sealer you put on,,any liquids left on the tile which are excessive need to be wiped off before you hit the tiles with your grout i would say mate,,just read the instructions on the impregnator you buy.

And no matter what you do, don't ask B&Q wether they need sealing, as most ofthe time, they don't know what sealing is in the first place.
