    ive just been out to look at kitchen floor 55m2 polished marble
    now being fairly new to the domestic sean i was a bit puzzled when the client wanted all the aerier tiling including where the kitchen units are going
    is this usual ???
    seams a bit daft to me

    Some peeps do it this way paul.........not a bad idea if you think about it..they can alter the kitchen layout over the years with out having to change tiles....and it's extra pennies for you..

    as you say a bit mad tiling what you wont see imo,waste of money but if thats what they want then do it.

    the domestic scene is all about image and bull**** unfortunately pj.

    if they want their balls polishing then just smile and add it on the bill mate. its a different kettle of fish than dealing with site managers/agents.

    ps if you get the job, you dont have to wear your high viz jackets or rigger boots either lol

    Most builders i work for are doing it this way now. Depending on the areas under the units and the price of the tiles its common sense. Surely easier for the tiler and more ££££ in your pocket.

    Some kitchens are fitted with decorative legs with no plinth

    From what I understand in europe they tile the whole floor as general practice
