| 1 metre long porcelain wall tiles | | hey, ive got a bathroom to do in 2 weeks for my brothers friend,
his wife has went out and bought 1000 by 300cm porcelain wall tiles,
biggest cutter i have is a ts60 plus so i guess i'll need to hire a cutter from somewhere? also his ceiling is 2.3 metres high because hes lowered it and he and his wife want the tiles vertical, so what would you guys do, have a full tile from the floor up and a 30cm cut at roof or have a 15cm cut at top and bottom, ive only been tiling for 2 years and never had this situation, there a stupid size of tile for a small bathroom is u ask me but any advice would be great thanks, steven | | |

| Re: 1 metre long porcelain wall tiles | | hi sjw,i had an alomost identical job a month ago,was ceramic tiles 1000 by 300 each tile weighed 7.5 kilos mate so first thing i would do as i was advised would be to check if the walls will hold this weight with addy and grout added on.i wouldnt start a full tile from the floor its almost guaranteed your floor isnt spot on which will throw your tiles all over the shop,i used rapid set with a 10mm floor trowel for fixing these.hope this helps | | |
