Tile around a Window in the
Tiling Forum at TilersForums;
I guys. Still cracking on nicely with this bathroom.
Quick question. How should I tile around this window? Tiles are 600w x 300h
Like this?
or like this?
Thanks... -

Re: Tile around a Window
It really depends on the centre of the window, Tiles need to be balanced so you get the same size cuts either side of the reveals

Re: Tile around a Window
Ok, but I cant see that happening as the window is in the far left of that wall. Plus the toilet is directly beneath it.

Re: Tile around a Window
But your window cill and head will show the imbalance on your grout joints

Re: Tile around a Window
Thats why I think option 1 is better as the floor tiles are 600 x 600 so the width of the wall tile matches the width of the floor tile.

Re: Tile around a Window
If I do a wall and floor follow thru I will mark out the walls first then follow onto the floor, Put yourself walking into a bathroom, the eyes will look at the walls then window then onto the floor, If the window is out, it will stick out like a sore thumb. If your,ve marked out your tiles then it would probably be to late to alter your tile layout for the opposite wall which should follow with the lines of the floor tiles. The window should be the first part for setting out, but just trying to get a good balance thru the whole room, some sacrfices may have to be made. Not windows IMO
