Help required.....
Hi,
Just in the process of fitting a new bathroom and now everything is ready to start tiling. I am going to use Homelux matting in the shower enclosure to waterproof the area and I was hoping to complete the instalation of this tonight. But, my tiles are not here until tuesday and it says on the packet to use adhesive to apply the matting then to apply another layer of adhesive and tile straight away.
Is it ok to apply the matting now and then start tiling over it in a few days time or is it important to tile over it straight after applying the matting?
Don't want to do it wrong, any help would be appreciated.
TIA
Adam

Re: Help required.....
You can leave it as long as you like........the instructions just mean that you can tile onto it straight away if you wish to......make sure you use a cement based adhesive to stick it on with and i would use a cement based to tile onto it as well.......much quicker drying time.......
p.s.. welcome to tilers forums.......

Re: Help required.....
Just make sure when you press the membrane into the adhesive that you dont get any folds in it or you will have a slight bump to get over when you come to tile. All the best
