As stated in the video, marble etc comes in different thicknesses so i dont see how this is helping. All its doing is pulling the tops flush with the next tile. Maybe its just me but i cant see a solid bed of adhesive there![]()

It is also very expensive! $575 for 1000 straps and 250 collars.

This system was discussed in massive length on another forum. It does not guarantee zero lippage. It states it almosts eliminates lippage. The downside is the expense of the system as well

I liked the idea of the lash system at the T&S show but it worked out expensive when you have to buy new every time.
It needs an inventor to come up with a re-usable system ,and then take it to the Dragons Den.![]()
Looks a good system BUT, as ramic says are you getting a solid bed when tiles are pulled up to meet each other and could you really price the straps into every job.....i don't think so...
SPEED MEANS NOTHING WITHOUT QUALITY....

It looks good at first, but when you think a little about it, I can't see how the adhesive bed will stay solid, as Sir Ramic also stated. And the added cost is over the top, unless the job is huge, and this system shaves days off it. But still, I wouldn't want to risk compromising the addy coverage.

A flat screeded floor helps to start with, I can see the idea but not at that price![]()

Same here surely you are not getting a solid bed underneath if the tiles are being pulled up to meet the next. It may be worth it if your doing a job like the vid but imagine if your doing 300 x 300 tiles it will cost you a fortune
The idea is you set your first tile and let it firm up sufficiently, mix your adhesive a bit thinner than you normally would, comb your bed higher, then set your adjacent tile. When you tighten you pull the adjacent tiles down to the level of the first - ensuring good coverage. Apparently takes a bit of practice to get the technique right so you don't get adhesive mooshing up between the joints too much.
I've seen photos on another forum of various polished floor tiles set with this system and it's very impressive, not one single broken reflection on large floors. Downside is the cost, apart from the odd very high end job, doubt most tilers would be able find clients willing to pay the extra. If it were much cheaper I'm sure it would really take off.
Mick, the owner/inventor, was supposed to send me some samples to try last year but I'm still waiting. He seems a really nice guy and does some absolutely awesome tile work, but as a businessman he seems a tad bit disorganised. I haven't bothered chasing him up.
