Default Tiling onto foil backed Plasterboard

Hi, just got my 1st proper job but need some advice. It is a bathroom with the walls being lined with foil backed Plasterboard all over. Will these boards need to be primed with acrylic primer and then tiled onto or do i need to put up normal plasterboard. I'm worried that the tiles won't stick to the foil backing.
My apologies if this is a daft question.

Don't take it down if they have paid someone to out this up, get them to do it, there is a very good reason why it's foil backed, retaining heat. This is there mistake, and such a fundamental f**k up. If the boards have not been put up yet, just make sure they will go foil side to the stud.
It's like you tiling the walls with the ribbed side of the tile facing out!

i really wonder how some of these idiots get work. honestly if this is really what is happening on paying customers homes then the building game in this country needs sorting out. i fully understand people have to learn but, what ever you charge for you should be compatent at.

Also if there,ve used foil backed board it only comes in 9.5mm so any stud work should be 400mm centres
