Default SKILL, Practice and Patience

Here's a couple of pics of a waste hole I cut freehand with an angle grinder in ceramic, Note how close the top edge is to the edge of the tile GOT IT 1ST GO TOO!!!
The Moral: Take your time be patient and with some practice you might just surprise yourself.
HAPPY TILING!!!
Cheers Mick

Wouldn't know where to start with that one, always managed to get a split line somewhere up to now, and cut in from an edge. Seen a couple rough ones though where they leave a square cut out around the waste.

Would that be a grinder (with a diamond core)? Looks very round to me for a freehand cut with a normal disc.

If it is with a disc then I am truly in awe!

YEP!! 1 and only go at it.

More "ARSE" than "CLASS" Though

Also had to hold my breath for nearly 20 minutes whilst cutting.
