can anyone tell me if i need to seal a polished concrete floor prior to tiling i've cot 50 sq mtrs of polished concrete floor screed over an under floor heating system any help greatly appreciated

what do you meen by polished? ie polished as in treated or polished as in troweled mechanicly

client says it was done professionally with a machine as a finish but has since changed his mind and now wants ceramics.

Not really sure but if in doubt rough it up with sand paper, prime and tile.

It is probably a power floated floor like in warehouse you will have to give the floor a mechanical key and prime before tiling

IF its just power floated it should be ok to just prime and tile key it if possible but if it s fully cured you aint got a prayer without a machine of sorts but if it was me i would just prime and tile using a suitable addy check some of the addy tech data to see which ones are best suited
