get a van bro you will regret using a car when you get your first 20m2 job and you have to make three trips with tools and materials plus your kit is safer in a van plus you wont get insurance for tools and mats in a car. and it looks a little bit more pro pulling up to a customer in a sign writ van.

You will get a vw vento tdi for less than a grand. Excellent ecconomy 65MPG (NO KIDDING) and loads of room in the boot. Also very reliable!!!, These cars have usually been owned by oldes who just love polishing them on a sunday hand have never been driven hard.

    Great car!!

Would love a sign written van but have to stay in my budget for a while yet and stick to my car. I agree it doesn't look professional but the van will have to wait!

yeh, van is best. but if you want a car then i say mondeo estate. i had one for years with the back windows blacked out, and turbo diesel engine, really big boot. then at the weekend i could fold up the seats and take the kids to the beach.
problem with cars is weight, even if there is enough space to fit all your tools and 10 box's of tiles and 6 bags of adhesive, you are gonna be draggin the arse along the road.

CDV for me (car derived van) get the best of both worlds!
MG ZR 160 Express, only made about 200 of them, car version group 16 insurance, mine which is identical except the rear seats and windows are not in , group 4 insurance!
I'll get some pictures up at a later date.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away. But if the doctor's cute screw the fruit!
