around showers?
Away to do a bathroom they have stripped all tiles from walls for me to start but have already got shower installed is it safe for me to tile around it and seal in with silicone? Or should i get it removed and tile under shower?

Re: around showers?
I would get them to remove it, assuming of course it is a surface mounted electric one. Why would the plumber fit it before tiling anyway?

Re: around showers?
Best to get shower off the wall and then place back onto tiles. Is it a powershower? If so you may want to consider tanking.

Re: around showers?
I wouldn`t do it personally because you have a greater chance of water getting through to the substrate plus i think it will look a bit naff!

Re: around showers?
Sometimes you can loosen the screws and there is sufficient play to get the tile behind....If not , tell the customer if the shower ever fails then they will have to dig it out of the tiles to re-new...so better to tile behind....
