Travertine cutting.
Hi Guys,
Any advice on cutting Travertine tiles, I have been cutting the tiles with a wet cutter and find the tiles become quite soft with water getting into the honeycombe underneath the tiles, all the tops of the tiles have been impregated to stop water staining, Should i cut the tiles with a dry cutter instead.

Re: Travertine cutting.
you can dry cut if you want but i would lay the tiles and let them dry out before grouting.

Dry cutter is'nt much use on unfilled trav. Wet cut, and then lay and leave to dry out.

Think he may mean with an angle grinder cj...well I hope so anyway
wet cutting shouldn't make them soft, water should be minimal and not soaking the tile..Mark.
