Re: Cutting travertine mosaics | | To be honest you can get away with a bigger depth trowel when fixing trav mosaics because they are thicker than normal mosaics.
For example if you are fixing trav tiles with a trav mosaic border - you will probably be using at least a 6mm trowell for the tiles. You will need to use the same depth of trowell for the mosaics as they are usually the same thickness as the tiles. Using a 2mm trowell will often result in the border being stepped back from the tiles causing a lip.
When using trav mosaics as a top border in on half tiled walls - it is best to use white adhesive. |
