    Default Wear proper work shoes...

I did a stupid misstake late this evening... I visited a custemer who's doing a complete renovation of his apartment. I came in my civilan clothes; big misstake as it turned out. The very first thing I did when I stepped inside the door was to step on an old rusty nail, and it went straight through the sole of my right shoe, into my foot. Cleaned as best I could, but the ******* is starting to swell up. So first thing tomorrow will be to go to the hospital and get a shot against tetanus.

    Silly, but easily made misstake...

Done that myself in my old house.
Removed stairs carpet then stood on a carpet nail with nothing on my feet, right into my heel with just the head of the nail showing... stung a bit

The irony is that I'm normally meticulous about such things. This time, I simply couldn't be arsed to change clothes for a simple measure-up...

Can't bloody use my right foot now, that ****ing swollen

As you said swe you stood on an old rusty nail as you stepped through the door, What did the client say, Surly he's liable for the injury it's his property and he invited you in.

Nah, it's no biggy. I'm not keen on getting into quarrels over such small things. Had it been an accident caused by blatant disregard for worker safety though, it would've been a different matter.

It was dark, and my Jedi foresight was dulled by a mighty 300g burger which I downed just an hour before that
