I bet you were glad when you'd finished it, that must've taken ages and been very tedious

its in a new pub dining room
there not bad to fix as theres no joints, its just stick one on top of the other the rougher the better so the architect told me
2 days work there

Re: ever seen these before
I've used the rusty coloured ones of those that Porcelanosa do, Brick Nepal, a couple of times.
First time was in my mother inlaw's house
Second in a reception for a local company.
If those are the ones for Porcelanosa, your architect is at the madam with the price.
They are £115 inc VAT, retail, from Porcelanosa.
Still expensive right enough.
BTW, the slate that matches them is terrible for size, thickness and basic quality. Especially for the price.

Re: ever seen these before
if this fella only paid 2 quid a meter for them, he would still have more money than sense. they are all cock-eyed, are they different thickneses? i think it looks pretty naff. i once turned down a job because it was gonna be very simelar to that!. with wee slate strips of all different lengths in a pre- prescribed unrepeating pattern. yuck

The Brick Nepal, form Porcelanosa look fantastic when it's finished mate.
Yes the are all different thicknesses, but that adds to the look when you put some nice lights on it.
I suppose they are a bit Marmite though. You either love it or hate it

Re: ever seen these before
yea you are right Drew its just personal taste, i finnished off a kitchen today and i hated the ugly colour sceme and the old fashioned tiles, but thats what the folk wanted and they were delighted when it was finnished.
i didn't mean to slag off your work PJ, i just didn't like the look of the actual tiles. you did a good job there

If they are the Porcelanosa ones, they come glued together in sets of about 3 lines high and 12inches long and are stepped as the lines go up to hide the joints.
When the wall is done it is very hard to see the individual pieces.
