Default the worst wall you have been asked to tile?

i have seen some unbelievable walls in my time as plasterer.
The worst was a difference of about 9.5 inch from top to bottom, a tiler called me to have a look and see if i could put right, ended up taking the dry wall off and finding a large concrete cube about a foot from the bottom, the geezer had just boarded over (d&d) and skimmed. down near the bottom were football size balls of plaster board addy.

another fella decided to board himself before we went and plastered , the gaps were so big the jointing tape would not fit over in places, why wont people just accept they are not the DIYer they think they are.
