Default best way to cut hardi backer board

hello all,,im putting backer board onto a wall on wed and wondered whats the best tool,method to cut backerboards with? cheers guys

not really..they are cement boards....a Grinder will do the job...no probs....it will blunt a hand saw in a crack as well........

i sometimes use a jigsaw, but it soon blunts the blades. they dont cut that easy with the proper cutter from topps!! its ok if you need to cut the board in half, but if you need just say 50mm off one edge, then no chance of scoring it and snapping it!!

Buy the proper tool - it saves ages.

I used to use jigsaw but it will blunt blades after two cuts.

It's a bitch to cut - no getting away from it, so score and snap, then clean up the edge with a good sharp knife.
